Asaad Dergham: Lebanon is Awaiting and the Time for Weapons to be in the Hands of the State is Now

Asaad Dergham, a member of the Lebanese Parliament, emphasized in his statements in Nabatieh that the President's visit to this region had no impact on the current situation. He noted that this visit ended without any practical results and discussed the political and security situation in Lebanon, calling for serious actions to control weapons in the country.

Dergham stated in his remarks that "Lebanon's legitimacy does not need the President's visit to identify its problems." He described this visit as a ceremonial act that had no tangible effect on the ground and only led to increased expectations. According to him, Lebanon is currently experiencing a deep political and economic crisis that requires urgent and effective solutions.

Dergham said: "We must be able to control weapons as an independent country with full sovereignty, and this duty falls on the state."
