Education Under Fire
Statistics indicate that in recent years, over ۹,۰۰۰ attacks on educational institutions have been recorded. These attacks not only lead to physical injuries but also bring deep psychological harm to students. In this situation, the main question is: Can education withstand these attacks?
Schools, which should be places for learning and growth, have become battlefields. In many countries, children go to school with the fear of attacks, and this fear negatively impacts the quality of their education and their mental health. In these conditions, teachers also face greater challenges, and many of them are under severe psychological pressure.
An Uncertain Future
With the increase in violence and conflicts, the future of education is severely at risk. Can we hope for a future where children can learn and progress without fear of attacks? Or is education as a fundamental right still at risk?
On this World Day, the need for immediate and serious action to protect education is felt more than ever. We must all listen to the voices of children and strive to create a safe and healthy space for learning. Can we as a community accept this responsibility and work to uphold the right to education for all children?
