Challenges Facing Climate Agreements
The Paris Agreement, considered a milestone in global efforts to combat climate change, aims to limit global warming to below ۲ degrees Celsius by the end of the ۲۱st century. However, over time, the failure to achieve this goal and the relentless increase in temperatures have raised serious concerns among scientists and environmental activists. Many believe it is time to move beyond merely focusing on temperature reduction to new methods that include actual peaks and reductions in greenhouse gas emissions.
The Need for New Strategies
While some countries are seeking innovative solutions to reduce carbon emissions, others continue to implement outdated and ineffective policies. These differences are observed not only at the national level but also globally.
