Following Israel's military attack on the Khan Younis area in southern Gaza, at least 9 Palestinians, including children, were injured. This attack clearly indicates the continuation of violence in the region and has severely impacted the morale of the people in Gaza.
Increase in Casualty Numbers
According to statistics from the Gaza Ministry of Health, since the outbreak of war on October 7, 2023, over 174,682 Palestinians have been injured and at least 73,670 have lost their lives. These statistics alone depict the human dimension of the disaster and reflect the depth of the crisis in this tense region.
Many of the injured have been transferred to the "Al-Mawasi" field hospital belonging to the Palestinian Red Crescent for essential treatment. Meanwhile, due to the critical conditions, access to medical services and rescue equipment has been severely limited.
Challenges in Relief Efforts
Efforts to rescue individuals trapped under the rubble have faced numerous obstacles. The Israeli blockade on rescue equipment has made relief operations extremely difficult, and many victims remain buried under the debris. This situation has created more despair and concerns among the people of Gaza.
