Sheikh Mohammed Qudura called for a unified stance from Islamic scholars against oppression and aggression at the international conference 'The Resurrection of the Ummah of Muhammad'.

Sheikh Mohammed Qudura, President of the Badr al-Kubra Center in Palestine, at the first international conference 'The Resurrection of the Ummah of Muhammad' held by the Global Qadimun Assembly on October 7, 2023, in Tehran, emphasized the necessity of unity in the Islamic world and urged Muslim scholars to take a unified stance against oppression and aggression.

The Necessity of a Unified Stance Against Oppression

Qudura reminded Muslims at this conference, citing verses from the Holy Quran: 'And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided' and 'And indeed, this is your Ummah, one Ummah, and I am your Lord, so worship Me,' emphasizing that the Islamic Ummah must act as one hand against oppression and aggression, especially what he termed the actions of the United States and the Zionist regime against the peoples of the region.

Response to Developments in the Islamic World

The President of the Badr al-Kubra Center in Palestine referred to Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei's approach to developments in the Islamic world, stating: 'Over the past years, he has taken a stance against aggression and oppression against various nations, including the people of Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen, Iraq, and Afghanistan, and has emphasized the necessity of confronting oppression.' These remarks reflect the need for a unified approach against oppression and aggression.

Qudura added: 'Support for the oppressed should not be limited to one individual, leader, or ruler, but is a public responsibility, and the entire Ummah must take a stance against oppression.' He emphasized that confronting oppression and tyranny is a human and moral duty and should not be limited by religion, nationality, or political status.

Criticism of the Silence of Islamic Scholars

He continued by criticizing the silence or inadequate response of some Islamic scholars to the developments in Gaza, stating: 'The scholars of the Ummah must take a clear stance against the suffering of the people of Gaza, just as they have responded to crises and conflicts in various Islamic countries at different times.' This criticism clearly indicates the need for a swift and effective response from Islamic scholars.

In conclusion, Qudura emphasized the necessity for the Islamic Ummah to return to the teachings of the Holy Quran and the conduct of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), stating: 'Islamic unity must be realized in the true sense within society; a unity that brings nations closer together, not creates division.' He expressed hope that this call would reach the awakened consciences of the Islamic world and that Muslims would return to the path of unity, awareness, and fulfilling their religious and humanitarian responsibilities.
