Rachel Griffin-Accurso, a children's content creator, donates one million dollars to the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund. This financial aid follows Macklemore's supportive statements regarding Palestinians.

Rachel Griffin-Accurso (Ms Rachel), a popular children's content creator, announced in a supportive move that she will donate one million dollars to the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund. This action comes in response to controversial statements made by Macklemore, the American rapper, who was removed from Ed Sheeran's tour due to his criticisms of the Israeli regime.

Call for Solidarity

On Thursday, Rachel announced via her Instagram platform: "I will match the amount donated by Macklemore and invite other famous and wealthy figures to repeat this action and speak out against the genocide in Gaza." She emphasized the dire situation of Palestinian children, stating: "Over 20,000 Palestinian children have lost their lives, and more children are being killed every day. We have a moral obligation to use our resources and platforms to protect the rights of children and humanity."

Macklemore and His Support for Palestinians

Macklemore, known by his real name Benjamin Haggerty, addressed this issue on Wednesday by announcing that he would donate one million dollars from the net proceeds of his performances on Ed Sheeran's tour to groups supporting Palestinians. In a statement on Instagram, he said: "Given everything that has happened in the past 48 hours, I want to bring the discussion back to where it needs to be, which is to the people of Palestine who are still being killed and living under military occupation."

Macklemore further emphasized: "While we may disagree on some issues, perhaps we can agree that Palestinian lives are worth protecting."

After Macklemore's statements during his performance on September 4 and 5 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, he was removed from Ed Sheeran's tour. During this performance, he addressed the war between Israel and Gaza and chanted "Free Palestine." Macklemore also claimed that Robert Kraft, the owner of the New England Patriots and a pro-Israel businessman, played a role in this decision.

Following this incident, other artists on the tour also withdrew. Lukas Graham, Aaron Rhoads, Finneas, and Beoga all announced their exits within an hour.
