The Real Madrid fans group, known as Ultras Sur, on Wednesday asked Kylian Mbappé, Vinícius Júnior, and Ibrahima Konaté to publicly apologize to the people. This request was made after the three players did not fully wear a t-shirt designed to support the people of Ceuta during the match on Tuesday, which ended in a 3-2 victory for Real Madrid against Elche.
Mbappé and Teammates' Disgraceful Performance
Mbappé, Vinícius, and Konaté wore the t-shirt partially on the field, an action that sparked strong reactions. The Ultras Sur group described this act as "unacceptable" in a statement published on the social media platform X, stating: "We are sure that every Real Madrid fan and every Spaniard is ashamed of the image these three individuals displayed."

The group also criticized the silence of Florentino Pérez, the president of Real Madrid, and called on him to respond to the issue. The Ultras Sur group has been banned from the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium for years, and their relationship with the club's management has always been tense.
La Liga's Criticism of the Players
Javier Tebas, the president of La Liga, also criticized the three players on Wednesday for not properly wearing the t-shirt, stating: "Partially wearing the t-shirt is as good as not wearing it at all." While other Real Madrid players and Elche players wore the t-shirt completely, the actions of Mbappé and his teammates faced severe criticism.
This t-shirt, with the phrase "We are all Ceutans," was a supportive message for the people of Ceuta, who have recently been affected by a migration crisis. In this area, residents have complained about the poor conditions of migrants from Morocco who have been sleeping on the streets and beaches. This humanitarian crisis has led to tensions between local residents and migrants.
In July, several individuals lost their lives while attempting to cross the border, with estimates suggesting that at least 141 people died. Mbappé also expressed sympathy regarding this issue, stating: "The first thing I want to say is my full solidarity with Ceuta and all the victims." He also noted that he wants to send a message of sympathy for all the migrants who lost their lives on this journey.
On July 30 and 31, tens of thousands of migrants entered Ceuta from Morocco. Most returned to their homeland a few hours after arrival, but several thousand stayed in Ceuta, and the poor living conditions led to further tensions with local residents.
