Russia has increased pressure on Ukraine's allies by summoning a senior British diplomat and seizing the assets of Western companies. These developments come in the wake of increased arms shipments from Britain to Kyiv.

Russia continues to exert pressure on Ukraine's allies by summoning Daniel Duhalia, the senior British diplomat in Moscow. In this summons, which took place on Friday, the Russian Foreign Ministry expressed its formal protest against the increased arms shipments from Britain to Ukraine, describing this action as complicity with the "war crimes" of the Kyiv regime.

Impacts of Increased Pressure on Ukraine's Allies

According to Russian officials, by continuing military support for Ukraine, Britain has placed itself in a position of complicity with the crimes of this regime. In this context, Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, signed a decree on Thursday that led to the seizure of assets of Western companies in Russia, including three French companies and the Swiss food giant Nestlé. This decision was made following a warning from Donald Tusk, the Prime Minister of Poland, regarding the possibility of combined Russian attacks on countries supporting Ukraine.

Expansion of Threats and International Reactions

Emmanuel Macron, the President of France, also stated that the threat posed by Russia's shadow operations in Europe is increasing. He added that the country has been targeted by combined Russian attacks in recent weeks. Macron also urged domestic officials to prepare plans to protect critical infrastructure and sensitive defense industry centers in response to these threats.

While Russia is increasing its pressure on Ukraine's allies, it is also continuing to target Western companies. The assets of companies like Auchan and Lemana Pro (formerly Leroy Merlin) have been placed under temporary management due to their affiliation with "unfriendly" countries. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has stated that these companies are still reviewing their status and final decisions have not been made.

Meanwhile, Russia's nighttime airstrikes on several regions of Ukraine have caused multiple fires in the country. At the same time, Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, will host the first Carpathian Eight summit, which includes Romania, Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, and Serbia. This summit will also discuss regional cooperation under the auspices of the European Union.
