The Death of Aws at a School in the Village of Al-Muqaygir in the West Bank

In the village of Al-Muqaygir, located in the northeast of Ramallah, going to school has become a daily challenge. Students in this village have to pass by Israeli soldiers to reach their classes, which affects their safety and peace of mind. On April 21, gunfire from an Israeli settler resulted in the death of Aws, a 14-year-old student, in the schoolyard.

A Tragic Incident in the Schoolyard

Aws was playing in the schoolyard when he suddenly encountered gunfire. His teacher, who witnessed the incident, immediately rushed to help him and carried him out of the yard. Unfortunately, Aws lost his life, and this incident affected not only his family but also the village community. On the same day, the teacher's brother was also killed while trying to help Aws.

Social and Psychological Consequences of These Incidents

This incident is just one of the bitter examples of the lives of Palestinian children in the West Bank.
