Saudi Arabia and Israel have engaged in intelligence cooperation in a joint effort to counter the threats from Ansar Allah. These contacts are being facilitated by the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) and aim to assist Saudi Arabia in identifying the locations of Houthi forces and revealing their objectives and plans.
Increased Threats from Ansar Allah
In recent weeks, Houthi forces have escalated their aggressive measures against Saudi Arabia, conducting attacks including drone strikes on oil pipelines and pumping facilities. These attacks have led to the shutdown of part of Saudi Arabia's main oil pipeline and have also put the lives of Saudi citizens at risk. In one of these attacks, the Houthis targeted a mosque and adjacent buildings near the Yemen-Saudi border.

Control of Strategic Islands and Regional Concerns
In this context, Ansar Allah has taken control of several strategic islands along the Red Sea and has prohibited the passage of Saudi ships through the Bab al-Mandab Strait. This action has created an economic and political blockade against Saudi Arabia and has raised serious concerns among regional countries. These countries are worried that the United States may reach an agreement with Iran and Ansar Allah, leaving Saudi Arabia and others with unresolved issues.
According to diplomatic sources, Saudi Arabia has requested intelligence assistance to create a comprehensive picture of the positions and intentions of Ansar Allah forces. This reflects severe security concerns among Saudis and neighboring countries.
Israel's Concerns over Saudi Arabia's Nuclear Program
Amid these developments, former U.S. President Donald Trump's decision to allow Saudi Arabia to develop a civilian nuclear program has raised serious concerns in Israeli security circles. Israel is particularly sensitive to this issue due to Saudi Arabia's geographical proximity. These concerns have also been raised in discussions between Trump and Israeli officials, and the normalization of relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel has been linked to this issue.
Saudi Arabia is attempting to advance its political process with Israel and reach agreements that would be realized after resolving the Israel-Palestine conflict. In this context, both parties are seeking to establish a roadmap for security and political cooperation that could help reduce tensions in the region.
Ultimately, this intelligence and diplomatic cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Israel, especially in light of the increasing threats in the Middle East, could have profound impacts on the security and political situation in the region.
