Israeli Army Warns Netanyahu About Budget Shortages and Military Readiness

The Israeli army has warned Benjamin Netanyahu, the regime's Prime Minister, that failure to increase the military budget could negatively impact the readiness of this institution on three important fronts. These three fronts include the Gaza Strip, the occupied West Bank, and Lebanon, which are particularly facing high tensions under the current circumstances.

Threats from Budget Shortages

According to military sources, the Israeli army has stated that to maintain its security lines on these three fronts, it requires billions of shekels (equivalent to dollars). Especially in the current situation, where Israel has been engaged in a genocidal war against Gaza since October 2023 and has simultaneously increased its military activities in the West Bank, this budget shortfall could have dire consequences.

In this context, "Doron Kadosh," a reporter for the Israeli Army Radio, announced on the social network "X" that the army has told political officials that without adding billions of shekels to the budget, it will not be able to ensure security on the three fronts. It is expected that the army will provide estimates to political officials in the coming days, estimating the defense budget deficit at around 25 billion shekels (equivalent to 8.3 billion dollars).

Military Readiness for Winter Season

Furthermore, Kadosh also noted that the Israeli army is "not prepared for winter conditions in Lebanon." This includes actions such as clearing roads for travel during rain and providing winter equipment for forces operating in snowy conditions. This issue is particularly concerning given that tensions at the Lebanon-Israel border have reached their peak.

In fact, given the current conditions, any lack of military readiness could lead to serious security threats. Considering that Lebanon is also recognized as one of the key fronts in Israel's national security, a lack of preparedness in this area could lead to the emergence of new crises.

As a result, the importance of increasing the military budget and the readiness of the Israeli army is felt more than ever in the current situation. Government members, especially Netanyahu, must heed these warnings and take necessary actions to ensure security on the three main fronts.
