The Zionist regime, in its latest movements to strengthen its presence on the eastern front, has implemented a series of simultaneous security and military measures. These measures include the construction of security barriers, mine clearance, and the reinforcement of military deployment in areas adjacent to Jordan. Alongside these actions, the Zionist regime continues to expand its civilian presence and settlement activities in these areas.
New Reports on Security Measures
In the latest reports, the Zionist regime has announced plans to establish about 40 new settlement points along the extensive borders adjacent to Jordan. This plan coincides with security measures to enhance military and civilian presence in these areas. Additionally, the Zionist regime intends to build a new security barrier extending 500 kilometers, which will include surveillance equipment, sensors, radars, and cameras.

Mine clearance operations continue in several sections of the Jordan border. These actions coincide with intensified settlement activities in the West Bank. Bezalel Smotrich, the finance minister of the Zionist regime, recently announced the demolition of 35 Palestinian buildings along access routes to new settlements, linking this action to the strengthening of settlements and the protection of these areas. Although this action is not directly related to the Jordan border, it is part of the broader expansion of the Zionist regime's settlement activities.
Security and Political Dimensions
These movements, given their simultaneity and scale, have raised serious concerns in Jordan. Jalal al-Abadi, a military analyst, pointed out that the Zionist regime continues to expand settlements in border areas, and this action is part of a systematic policy. He also emphasized that armed settlement hubs have expanded in various regions and that these individuals are equipped with the latest weapons.
Al-Abadi added that these hubs may lead to the displacement of the original residents of nearby areas, and currently, there are no signs of a move towards military confrontation between Jordan and the Zionist regime. Jordan remains committed to a two-state solution and is seeking diplomatic solutions.
Ayman al-Hunaity, a Jordanian expert on the Zionist regime, explained that mine clearance along the border strip reflects Israel's concerns about a repeat of the October 7 operations. He noted that these actions aim to create a "human barrier" with Jordan, which will be based on establishing farms, and reserve forces will be responsible for them.
Amer al-Sabailah, a political analyst, also emphasized that the movements of the Zionist regime on the eastern front are not new, and this regime has increased its activities following discussions about arms smuggling and infiltration from the border. He added that the Zionist regime is trying to redraw the geography according to its security needs.
