Ilham Aliyev, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, met with Hakan Fidan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, on September 15, 2023. This meeting took place at the office of the President of Azerbaijan and various topics including bilateral relations and energy cooperation were discussed.
Message of Greetings from Erdogan
At the beginning of this meeting, Hakan Fidan conveyed the greetings of Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the President of the Republic of Turkey, to Ilham Aliyev. Aliyev also thanked for this message and requested to convey his greetings back to Erdogan. This exchange of messages reflects the close and friendly relations between the two countries, based on the principle of "one nation, two states."

Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation

Prospects of Bilateral Relations
In this session, discussions were held regarding the prospects of bilateral relations and regional issues. Both sides emphasized the necessity of strengthening economic and cultural relations, and this topic was raised as one of the main priorities for future cooperation.
