On Monday afternoon, the Minister of Defense of the Israeli regime, Israel Katz, stated in remarks in Tel Aviv that the Israeli army would not withdraw from the Ali al-Tahir Heights and that this area is considered part of the Israeli regime's security line in Lebanon. These statements come as the regime's cabinet is reviewing new field arrangements along the southern border of Lebanon.
Field Developments on the Southern Border of Lebanon
In recent days, reports indicate efforts to reorganize Israel's military deployment along the southern border of Lebanon. The regime's army is seeking to prevent any attempts by Hezbollah or other groups to return to the Ali al-Tahir Heights. Katz threatened that anyone approaching this area would face military response.

These actions follow extensive attacks that began on March 2 (11 Esfand) against Lebanon, resulting in the martyrdom and injury of several Lebanese citizens and the displacement of over one million people. Parts of southern Lebanon remain under Israeli military occupation.
Framework Agreement and Criticism of It
While Lebanon and the Israeli regime reached an agreement last month called the "Framework Agreement" with U.S. mediation, this agreement has faced significant criticism. Critics point to the ambiguity in the legal status of the agreement and the lack of a specific timeline for the withdrawal of Israeli forces. According to Katz, Israel will not exit the security zone until Hezbollah is disarmed, and for this reason, there will be no redeployment of its forces in southern Lebanon.
These statements and field developments reflect the intensity of tensions in the region and the existing distrust between the parties. While direct negotiations between Lebanon and Israel continue, the security situation along the borders remains complex and uncertain.
