Limited Withdrawal of the Israeli Army from the Ali al-Tahir Heights

On Monday afternoon, the Minister of Defense of the Israeli regime, Israel Katz, stated in remarks in Tel Aviv that the Israeli army would not withdraw from the Ali al-Tahir Heights and that this area is considered part of the Israeli regime's security line in Lebanon. These statements come as the regime's cabinet is reviewing new field arrangements along the southern border of Lebanon.

In recent days, reports indicate efforts to reorganize Israel's military deployment along the southern border of Lebanon. The regime's army is seeking to prevent any attempts by Hezbollah or other groups to return to the Ali al-Tahir Heights. While Lebanon and the Israeli regime reached an agreement last month called the "Framework Agreement" with U.S. mediation, this agreement has faced significant criticism. Critics point to the ambiguity in the legal status of the agreement and the lack of a specific timeline for the withdrawal of Israeli forces. According to Katz, Israel will not exit the security zone until Hezbollah is disarmed, and for this reason, there will be no redeployment of its forces in southern Lebanon.
