Israeli Actions and International Reaction
Furthermore, Aqtürk referred to Israeli attacks on Lebanon, Syria, and Palestine, adding, "By continuing these attacks in front of the international community, Israel deepens instability in the region." He welcomed the actions taken by 12 countries led by the UK, France, and Canada to prohibit trade and business relations with illegal settlements in the West Bank. However, he expressed concern over Israeli attacks on camps housing displaced Palestinians in Gaza and residential areas in southern Lebanon.
Aqtürk said, "We urge the international community to go beyond verbal positions and take tangible and deterrent actions. Establishing peace and tranquility in the region requires an immediate end to Israel's actions that violate international law."
