Yemeni Government Forces Shoot Down 3 Houthi Drones in Taiz and Shabwa

Forces affiliated with the Yemeni government successfully shot down 3 drones belonging to the Iran-backed Houthis in the provinces of Taiz and Shabwa. The clashes, which have intensified since July of this year, indicate the ongoing military tensions in Yemen and the constant changes in control of areas.

Details of the Drone Shootdowns

According to a statement from the Giants Brigades, one of the drones, of the "Rajem" type, was shot down in the Khubub front located in the Bab al-Mandab area in Taiz province. This area, due to its strategic position, has always been of interest to both government forces and the Houthis. Additionally, 2 other drones of the FPV type were shot down by Yemeni government forces in the Bayhan front in Shabwa province before reaching their target. These operations demonstrate the capability and readiness of government forces to counter Houthi aerial threats.

Continuation of Clashes and Field Changes

Since July, clashes in Yemen have significantly increased, and the Houthis have succeeded in capturing areas including Hodeidah, Al-Mokha, and coastal cities along the Red Sea. These changes have shifted the map of the western coast of Yemen in favor of the Houthis. In contrast, government forces have made advances in Al-Jawf province, near the Saudi border, and are trying to regain more control over lost areas.
