Seyyed Attaollah Mohajerani examines the collective identity of Yemen and the history of the resistance of its people in a note. He analyzes the factors influencing the victory of Yemenis against military interventions.

Seyyed Attaollah Mohajerani, in a note with an epistemological and phenomenological approach, analyzes the evolution of collective identity, sacred status, and the historical resistance of Yemen from the early Islamic period to contemporary conflicts. He references credible sources to examine Yemen's epistemic position in the words of the Prophet of Islam.

The Spiritual Connection of Yemen with the Hadiths of the Prophet of Islam

In this note, Mohajerani refers to the famous hadith of the Prophet of Islam, which states: "Faith is from Yemen, and wisdom is Yemeni." This hadith is recorded in the hadith references of both Sunni and Shia and reflects the Prophet's respect and affection for the people of Yemen.

Mohajerani also mentions the story of Owais al-Qarni, who is recognized as a symbol of enlightenment and faith among Yemenis in Islamic history. Owais traveled to Medina to meet the Prophet but was unable to do so due to his mother's illness. This story of the missed meeting has become one of the most beautiful themes in literature.

Historical Challenges of Yemen and the Shiite-Zaydi Identity

Furthermore, the author analyzes the sociological and historical context of the formation of the Shiite-Zaydi identity and its impacts on Yemen's history. He refers to the acceptance of the leadership of Imam Ali (PBUH) by the tribes of Hamdan and Nakh'a and the establishment of the Zaydi sect in the mountainous geography of Yemen. This sect has been dominant in Yemen for over a thousand years and has played a significant role in shaping the national identity of Yemenis.

Mohajerani also discusses foreign military interventions in Yemen, including the defeat of the Egyptian army during Gamal Abdel Nasser's time and modern regional coalitions, showing how the faith of the people of Yemen and their adaptation to the harsh mountainous terrain have managed to neutralize the asymmetry in military equipment and achieve national sovereignty.
