Ayatollah Rasoul Fallahati: Inflation did not arise overnight and we need to increase production

Ayatollah Rasoul Fallahati today _Friday, the twenty-seventh of Shahrivar_ in his Friday prayer sermon in the mosque of this city, addressing the economic problems of the country, said: "The existing inflation in Iranian society is painful, but it did not arise overnight, and the officials are working hard to solve this problem."

Factors Affecting Economic Conditions

Ayatollah Fallahati identified fluctuations in the exchange rate, sanctions, the government's budget deficit, and the government's expenses exceeding its revenues as some of the factors affecting economic conditions, adding: "Creating money is not the solution to the problems, and if the government borrows from the central bank to cover the budget deficit, it will create other problems."

The Necessity of Increasing Production

The representative of the Supreme Leader in Gilan, referring to banking imbalances and the growth of liquidity, noted: "One of the important issues is the growth of liquidity and the limited production, and to solve economic problems, production must be increased." He emphasized: "Especially in the area of agricultural inputs and the industrial sector, we need to increase production to reduce the country's dependency."

Ayatollah Fallahati further referred to the activities of some intermediaries in the import and export sector of the province and said: "We have received reports about the strange activities of some trustees, which has become a disease and a problem for the country, and we hope this issue will be corrected."

The Start of the Academic Year and the Presence of Students

He referred to the beginning of the academic year on the first of Mehr, adding: "We hope that schools and universities will start their activities in person, and the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Science should also have a common goal in this regard." Ayatollah Fallahati emphasized: "Students must attend classes because the enemies do not want Iranian universities and scientific and research centers to be active."

He also pointed out the arrival of the Sacred Defense Week and important dates in this week, noting: "Today, the United States and the Zionist regime are making efforts against the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the Iranian nation is not one to back down."

In conclusion, Ayatollah Fallahati, expressing the problems and grievances of merchants, called for attention to the market situation and support for economic activists, stating: "The market needs to be organized, and more support for merchants is necessary."
