Hojjatoleslam Mahmoudi: The Enemies' Plans Were Neutralized by the Resistance of the People

Hojjatoleslam and Muslim Seyyed Ahmad Mahmoudi, during the Friday prayers in Isfahan held at Imam Khomeini (RA) Prayer Hall, emphasized the importance of divine piety and avoiding sin, referring to the experiences of the Iranian nation during the Sacred Defense era, stating: "The experience that the armed forces, security forces, and the people of Iran gained during the Sacred Defense is an important backing for overcoming today's threats."

The People's Resistance Against Enemy Aggressions

He said: "If the experience of the Sacred Defense and its achievements did not exist, standing against the aggressions that were supported by the most advanced equipment would have been more difficult, and we could not have witnessed such resistance and successes." The temporary Friday prayer leader of Isfahan pointed to the nightly gatherings of the people over 200 consecutive nights, adding: "The people have shown that in critical conditions, they do not leave the scene, and this continuous presence has thwarted the plans and goals of both domestic and foreign enemies."

Mahmoudi continued: "What we see today in the people's steadfastness is a continuation of the same spirit that the children of this nation showed in the battlefields of the Sacred Defense; a generation that did not retreat in the face of pressure and threats." He believes that the culture of resistance in society has been transmitted through the martyrs and their families and emphasized: "The perseverance of the martyrs, their wills, and the patience and steadfastness of the families of martyrs and veterans are now reflected in the behavior and presence of the people."

Regional Developments and the Expansion of the Resistance Front

The temporary Friday prayer leader of Isfahan further referred to the enemies' objectives in confronting the Islamic Republic of Iran, stating: "One of the enemies' goals is to confront revolutionary Islam; an Islam that is dynamic, alive, and demanding, and does not submit to oppression, force, and domination." He added: "The enemy has no confrontation with an Islam that is distanced from the social scene, but sees revolutionary Islam as a threat to its goals due to its spirit of resistance and steadfastness against domination."

Mahmoudi also referred to the recent developments in Yemen, stating: "What has happened in recent days in the coastal areas of Yemen and the Bab-el-Mandeb region is significant in military and strategic terms." He mentioned the advances of the Ansar Allah forces in western Yemen, citing 5,400 square kilometers of newly controlled areas, and said: "These developments continue the path of resistance in the region, and some events in Yemen can be compared to important historical periods of resistance."

Mahmoudi also criticized the actions of some Islamic countries regarding regional developments, stating: "It is expected that Islamic countries, instead of siding with the enemies, support the people and nations of the region in the face of the suffering and problems of Muslim nations." He concluded by saying: "Today, the people of Yemen are standing firm against pressures, and this resistance requires the attention of the Islamic world."

The temporary Friday prayer leader of Isfahan, in another part of his speech, referred to the defensive capabilities of the Islamic Republic of Iran, stating: "All capacities and military achievements of the country have not yet been unveiled." He emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran has made advancements in various fields, and some of these capabilities have still not been communicated to the people.

With the arrival of the Sacred Defense Week, Mahmoudi stressed the necessity of revisiting the achievements and valor of the warriors and martyrs, stating: "The memorials of the martyrs and the programs of the Sacred Defense Week should be an opportunity to elucidate the valor, sacrifice, and selflessness of the warriors for the new generation." In conclusion, he expressed hope that the continuity of the people's presence and unity would neutralize the plots and plans of the enemies and that the country would continue on the path of progress and strengthening its capabilities.
