Operation 'Epic Fury' and the Deployment of U.S. Forces
According to this report, Operation 'Epic Fury', which began on March 9, 1404, was conducted with the aim of preventing the Islamic Republic from acquiring nuclear weapons and attacking its nuclear, missile, and naval facilities. In this operation, over 50,000 U.S. military personnel were deployed in the region, and approximately 13,500 targets were attacked. According to military sources, nearly 36,000 combat sorties and over 1,800 fire missions were conducted during this operation.

War Costs and Human Casualties
The report also mentions the financial costs of this operation, estimating the total cost by July 8, 1405, to be $33.4 billion. This cost includes $7.4 billion in incremental expenses, $22.3 billion for munitions used, and $3.7 billion for lost equipment. Additionally, the Iran war has resulted in the deaths of seven U.S. military personnel in combat operations and seven others in non-hostile incidents, with 417 other military personnel injured.
Attacks by the Islamic Republic on U.S. bases in various countries have caused significant damage, and according to the report, U.S. diplomatic facilities have also been damaged in several countries. The estimated cost of damages to these facilities is around $184 million.
Challenges in Ammunition Reserves and Military Future
One of the most important points of this report is the impact of the war on U.S. ammunition reserves. High ammunition consumption in the war has created "strategic shortages" in military inventories and has caused problems in the supply and production of munitions. The Pentagon has stated that increasing production capacity will require significant time and is currently accelerating production lines and securing critical materials.
The U.S. Secretary of Defense has also warned that without supplemental funding, existing shortages could threaten the ability to pay personnel and continue U.S. global operations. In this context, the government has requested $67.1 billion in emergency funding for the Department of Defense, of which $21 billion is allocated for munitions.
Finally, the report also refers to the diplomatic and military actions taken by the U.S. and discusses the establishment of a ceasefire and temporary agreements with the Islamic Republic. However, negotiations regarding remaining issues, including Iran's nuclear program, have reached a deadlock, and conflicts have continued.
