The Yemen refugee camps have recently faced an increase in the number of displaced individuals due to military conflicts. The executive unit of the management of Yemen's refugee camps stated in a statement that from September 1 to 15, 2026, more than 122,000 people have been displaced in eight provinces of the country due to the escalation of conflicts.
Displacement Statistics in Various Provinces
According to this report, Taiz province in southwestern Yemen has the highest number of displaced individuals, with 9,562 families and 66,972 people. This province, being one of the main areas of conflict and battles, has witnessed significant damages and losses. Following Taiz, Lahij province ranks second with 4,511 families and 31,577 individuals. Additionally, in Aden province, 1,180 families comprising 5,555 individuals and in Abyan province, 1,003 families equivalent to 7,021 individuals have been displaced.

Humanitarian Consequences and Re-displacements
The number of displaced individuals in other provinces is also extremely concerning. In Hadhramaut province, 66 families including 462 individuals, in Al-Mahrah province, 40 families including 280 individuals, and in Shabwa province, 19 families including 133 individuals have been displaced. However, part of this displacement is related to the re-movement of individuals who had previously left their homes.
The executive unit of the management of Yemen's refugee camps has reported that it had previously identified 1,471 families in the districts of Hays and Al-Khokha in Al-Hudaydah province. These individuals have been forced to leave their residences once again due to recent developments and have moved towards Aden. This trend reflects the critical humanitarian situation in Yemen, which continues to be affected by military conflicts.
