Abdel Fattah el-Sisi Rejects Any Movement of Palestinians from Gaza

Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, the President of Egypt, strongly rejected any planning for the movement of Palestinians from Gaza during a meeting with Mahmoud Abbas, the President of the Palestinian Authority. These remarks came in response to statements by Isaac Herzog, the Israeli Defense Minister, who said that the Israeli army would "finish the job" to implement a "migration plan."

Egypt's Firm Position in Support of Palestinians

In this meeting held on Wednesday in Cairo, el-Sisi emphasized: "Egypt will not accept in any way the displacement of the Palestinian people or any attempts to destroy the Palestinian cause." These statements were made as Abbas expressed gratitude for Egypt's steadfastness in defending Palestinian rights, stating: "Gaza is an inseparable part of our country."

Increasing Tensions and Israeli Statements

El-Sisi's remarks came just hours after Isaac Herzog stated that the Israeli army intends to take complete control of Gaza to implement relocation plans. In another statement, Herzog said that Israel is prepared to relocate Palestinians by land and sea but is awaiting decisions from the United States, which is considering new locations for two million Palestinians.

Meanwhile, Mike Huckabee, the U.S. Ambassador to Israel, rejected any plans for the forced relocation of Palestinians from Gaza, emphasizing that such a plan does not exist. He also stated in February that in his view, if Israel took more territory from the Middle East, it would not be a problem.

The Humanitarian Situation in Gaza

Gaza is currently facing a deep humanitarian crisis. Almost the entire population of Gaza has been displaced due to ongoing wars, and much of the land has turned into ruins. According to statistics, over 73,700 Palestinians have lost their lives in these wars. While Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, has reported that the army has not exited the Gaza Strip, this concerning situation indicates Israel's determination to continue its policies in the region.

Future Predictions

Netanyahu has also claimed that Israel controls 60 percent of the Gaza Strip and will not withdraw from the area until Hezbollah is disarmed. His government is also seeking to expand settlements on Palestinian lands in the West Bank, with one of its controversial projects being Project E1, aimed at constructing thousands of housing units between Jerusalem and the settlement of Ma'ale Adumim.

The Israeli human rights group B’Tselem has also warned that Israel is implementing a systematic and accelerated campaign to destroy "the collective life of Palestinians" and establish permanent Jewish-Israeli sovereignty throughout the occupied West Bank.
