The disaster at the 'Al-Saada' building in Gaza revealed the depth of the devastation caused by the war. Hamas warned of an imminent danger to 2,000 other buildings.

The disaster at the 'Al-Saada' building in Gaza occurred, once again showcasing the depth of the destruction and biological threats resulting from the genocidal war of the Zionist regime against the Palestinian people. This building, which had become a shelter for many homeless refugees, collapsed in the early hours of yesterday (Sunday) and resulted in the martyrdom of several citizens. The search operation for about 100 missing persons is still facing severe shortages of resources.

Dangerous situation of other buildings

Hamas stated in a statement that this disaster is a direct result of the destructive policies of the occupiers, who have forced people to take refuge in damaged and collapsing buildings due to extensive bombing of residential areas. The lack of technical tools and heavy machinery for debris removal is rapidly consuming the golden time for saving the lives of those trapped under the rubble.

2,000 buildings in a similar situation

According to data from the Gaza Relief and Rescue Organization, the danger of the 'Al-Saada' building is not an isolated case. Hamas has announced that about 2,000 other buildings in the Gaza Strip are in a similar situation; structures that have been severely damaged due to the attacks of the Zionist regime and are at risk of collapse 'at any moment.' This situation has placed the lives of thousands of Palestinians in a real, ongoing, and serious danger.

The leaders of the Hamas movement, in this statement, called for immediate and practical action to end this situation. The main points of Hamas's request include lifting restrictions and ending the blockade that prevents the entry of relief and rescue equipment and heavy machinery into the Gaza Strip. Hamas also called for international accountability and pressure on the Zionist regime, urging the U.S. government and global institutions to fulfill their legal and humanitarian responsibilities towards the civilians in Gaza.

In conclusion, Hamas expressed its condolences for the martyrs and wished health for all the injured and those trapped under the rubble, emphasizing that continued silence regarding this situation means a green light for greater humanitarian disasters in Gaza.
